Thursday

Thursday will be one year since I found out that our baby had died. I'm feeling really sad this week. No one understands how it feels to loose a child until they have been there. It's like a part of your soul dies with the child.

I've been thinking about the whole grieving process lately. I lost my mother over a year ago and I often think of her too. Do you really ever get over the loss of a loved one? How do you cope? I think it's sad that we dont honor our loved ones more than we do. Yes we visit the graves. We take flowers. But do we talk about them enough? So many things to ponder. You're post broke my heart. No, I don't think we ever get over the loss of a loved one, and I don't think we should either. I do think that as time goes by, it gets easier to remember without tears. Somehow the happy memories push themselves through and make us laugh. What you're feeling is normal. There is nothing that anyone can say to make it better, but I hope you know that you'll be in my thoughts and prayers.

Candace,
You're right, no one knows the feelings that come with miscarriage except someone whose been there. My step-sister was a great source of strength for me when I had mine. Almost more so than my husband. He was a different source of strength. He was more my support and she was more my understanding.
I hope you have both kinds.
Erica
