Monogram Clipboard

A lady who had a booth at the craft show ordered this clipboard from me on Sunday. I love the look of the monogram letters on them. I may start doing this for each one. I really like it!!

Cathy and I have decided to do another show coming up Mother's Day weekend.

Stay tuned....

Wood Works

Today I couldn't resist the urge to buy a couple of things. Go figure right? Ha! Needless to say I spent my profits from the show on stuff from the show. Not good business eh?

This one guy makes the NEASTEST key chains, business card holders and a lot of other neat things with wood. So today he made us one. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it! Oh my gosh I could never make something this neat out of wood!

Secondly, Clint bought me this table and chairs for Mother's Day. Isn't that the sweetest? You wouldn't believe how comfortable they are. The people selling them were directly in front of us. They brought two chairs over for us to sit in while we were there and we fell hook line and sinker for them! As you can see they are already on my pool deck. Can't wait to use them this summer.

Craft Show Time

Well it's official! Cathy and I made it through the first day of our very 1st craft show! The weather was beautiful and warm. We met a lot of new people. We really had a good time today! We have a lot of long hours in it but it has been fun all the way. Here are a couple of pictures from today's show. Isn't the banner too cute? We have one more day to go. Hopefully my boss will let us set up and sell one day at work. I have a feeling this is something we could get into. Just from talking with different vendors today, I found out that most of those people do this (craft shows) for a living. Wouldn't that be nice??!! Do what you love for a living! WOW!

Aunt Ben made Cathy the CUTEST little apron!! Oh my, she is so talented! I love the bright colors and ribbons. That woman can sew up anything. I wished she would teach me!! :) I could have easily spent all of my profits on beautiful jewelry, purses, and such. It was pure torture... lol I did have 2 name bracelets made for the girls birthday's. The lady and gentleman beside us was extremely nice and decent priced, so I couldn't resist!

If you stopped by our booth today and found my blog addy on my business card, leave me a message. I'd love to hear from you!! Take Care!

More Wishing :)

I've never bought a set of dishes for myself. The ones I do have were bridal shower and Christmas gifts. So I am really exicted about picking out new ones. I almost feel quilty doing it though. I don't have a whole matching set of anything right now. After almost 14 years of marriage I thought I could treat myself. I am really loving the look of the square plates!! I think they would be really cool to have!! I'm not sure how user friendly they would be. I really love the red flower set from Bed Bath and Beyond but they are really expensive. Which ones do you like??

I am so excited! Clint bought The Love Dare today! I've already read day one. It looks like it's going to be interesting! I can really see how it would help a struggling marriage and improve a good one.

Day one reads:

The first part of this dare is fairly simple. Although love is communicated in a number of ways, our words often reflect the condition of our hearts. For the next day, resolve to demonstrate PATIENCE and to say nothing negative to your spouse at all. If the temptation arises, choose not to say anything. It's better to hold your tongue than to say something you'll regret.

I finally finished this book last week. It was REALLY good! I actually sent this book to Amy with Angela Sunday night. I was invited to join a book club thingy through the mail. Pretty cool. Midnight sea was about a woman in Hawaii who looses her sight and falls in love. Really awesome book!!

Glitter Eggs

Dying eggs is so much fun isn't it? The girls had a blast tonight coloring and putting glitter on them. It's the first time we used glitter but I REALLY liked doing that! Super cool!
We already stuffed dozen's of plastic eggs with candy. YuM!

The cookies on the other hand FLOPPED. :(

I couldn't find my old sugar cookie recipe so I used a new one. I made 2 major mistakes!

1. Never use the eggs whites when the recipe calls for the yolks.
2. Always measure out the shortening!!

Well the dough tasted really GOOD { if that counts }

I did manage to finish the *50* checkbooks today. Can I just say for those of you are close to a Hobby Lobby, Michael's or any craft/scrapbook store count your blessings! I ran into Walmart today looking for a pretty teal/blue ribbon that I bought about a month ago and of course they did not have any and looked like they will not ever get anymore in.
ugh.

blooms.

Yesterday we went to the G Garden's. I didn't get great pictures of the girls because of the bright sun. That is something I'm trying to get used too with this new camera because it's so much different than my old one. I did however get a couple good pics of some flowers. The flowers are not really in bloom yet. I'd love to have a macro lens!!!!

Yesterday I also worked on those 50 checkbook covers that I bought to do for the craft show. They were trickier than I thought. It was hard to slide the papers in the covers and I couldn't make them as cute as I did the calendars. My new MM trimmer is not working. I am so disappointed in it. I will end up taking it back. Paper is stuck in the runner where the blade resharpens itself and I can't get it out. grrrr

Today I need to finish the rest of the cb covers. Buy groceries. Get in the tanning bed. And make those Easter cookies! WOW it's going to be busy!!! Spring break is almost over..... :(

Quick Card

Today before heading home I stopped by the shack and made a quick little birthday card. I also covered a little {Starbucks Chocolate Bar.} I am loving the blues and yellows. They are a cute little color combo for spring.

Today was a busy but fun day. We got up early and headed to McDonald's for breakfast. Then off to Books a Million. I was looking for books or magazines about cameras or photography. I am trying to learn all that I can about my camera. It's my new love right now!!! ;) I was really disappointed with the selections there and walked away with nothing. Clint and the girls bought a book but nothing for me. I was VERY surprised at the "graphics" in some of those books....{if you know what I mean...}

Tomorrow I want to make Easter sugar cookies.... and take the girls to the G Gardens for Easter pics. That should really awesome!!

Has anyone ever taken the Project 365 challenge? It sounds really fun but really challenging. I am seriously thinking of doing it.

Sleep tight

I wished blogger had more fun fonts.

Last Saturday after the baby shower we stopped a field that is close to my house. I took some pictures of the girls chasing butterflies. I love these two pictures of Lacey so much! I can't believe how fast my girls are growing! I was thinking the other day I quess I need to have another baby so I'll have someone to photograph......LOL Well maybe not..... but babies are so sweet and I LOVE THEM!
I am enjoying Spring Break this week. It feels so nice to actually be a home for a change. I think tomorrow we're going to ride to the bookstore and see what photography books I can find. And what's up with this cold/windy weather?? Glad I'm not camping out with the family this week...
Tonight we made peanut butter cookies. yummmm They are almost gone...;)

Reading Frenzy

Ever go on a reading frenzy? I have lately. We started a book club at church and it's been so much fun! Since Clint is the head of it I get to read all the books before the others. Sweet. These are two GREAT books to read! You should definitely read them!! I am in the middle of Fireproof right now and I think it would be a lot of fun to take the "love dare." Hopefully I can talk Clint into doing it! Wish me luck!
It's so beautiful here today. I am off to a baby shower. Have a wonderful day!
