Sweet 16 Glow Party

I thought I would share some of my daughter's Sweet 16th Birthday Party. I used neon everything. Pretty much anything neon glows under a black light. I do suggest using several long tube black lights for the a great effect. I bought white plastic cloths thinking they would glow but they didn't. But we wrote on the colored table cloths with high lighters and that glowed.

Another cool effect is putting glow sticks in balloons. I bought neon balloons from my local party store.

Her neon birthday banner. I found neon ribbon at walmart that was really cheap. I also found neon pipe cleaners at the dollar tree.

We had glow necklackes and braclets for everybody. Music and lots of food! ;-) I did subs, pizza, pigs in a blanket, hamburger dip, and fruit. The kids loved it. I also bought neon colored plates from my party store and they also glow. I saw Hobby Lobby carries the plates and cups as well.

The awesome cake!

We also had fireworks and silly string. The kids loved them!! That kept the boys entertained.

I also made a photo booth from a black table cloth. I found a lot of neon stuff at the dollar tree. I used all neon cardstock for the props.

Coffee filter wreath

I've been working on this off and on the past few days. I've been wanting to host a Pinterest Party and I've been experimenting with different crafts but can't find the right one. I would like for the craft to be easy, cheap and quick. I was hoping to find something they could finish within an hour or so. This took away longer than one or two hours.

Oh well, I guess I'll keep browsing Pinterest. ;-)

It took a pack of coffee filters and a piece of another one. I used a straw wreath because I couldn't find a foam one. I cut the letter H out of card board with my cameo. Then I glued and glitter it.

Here's a youtube tutorial if you'd like to make one.

Here's some Pinspiration

A few new things

Monogrammed Kindle case for my husband's mother for Christmas.

Homemade ornament made with vinyl.

Glass block for my daughter. She loves 1D.

Gifts bags from the Dollar Tree. 2/$1

Georgia ornaments

Monogrammed fleece blankets with heat press vinyl

And my favorite of all. A book wreath made from an old church hymnal. Pinterest project under $5.

It's been a while since I've updated my blog but I wanted to share a couple of projects that I've done during the holidays for gifts. I've been loving my new cameo since I've gotten it. I hope everyone had a magical Christmas! Take care!
