Happy Fall Ya'll

A woman was asked by a coworker, 'What is it like to be a Christian?'
The coworker replied, 'It is like being a pumpkin.'
God picks you from the patch, brings you in, and washes all the dirt off of you. Then He cuts off the top and scoops out all the yucky stuff.
He removes the seeds of doubt, hate, and greed.
Then He carves you a new smiling face and puts His light inside of you to shine for all the world to see.'
I got this in an email today and it's soo true! We are like pumpkins in so many ways! I hope everyone is enjoying the fall weather. I know I am! I baked two pumpkin pies tonight and they are MMM GOOD! I love to bake around the Holidays! If anyone has any good recipes please feel free to share them here!
I hope we all take a few minutes each day to say a little prayer and Thank God for the many blessings he has given to us!
Take Care!

Hand Powered Scissors

I saw these in Lowes Friday night and I about laughed my head off! I thought those would be soo cool for Scrapbooking! LOL Even though I don't think they would work very well. They had them in the Christmas isle at Lowes! I was SOO tempted to buy them just to play with them! :) LOL
They are made by black and decker if anyone is interested! :)

Hunting Season

Well ladies, it's hunting season around my house again! This picture was taken last year for one of Clint's hunting articles that got published. I think they look adorable with their Daddy all decked out in camo! Only looks can be deceiving! They are truly girly girls! They don't care a thing about hunting. Poor hubby! LOL But they do like shooting bows with him. That counts right?

PS. Can you tell that I'm having fun playing around on my blog tonight? I think I'm about ready for bed though. It's after 9 and past my bed time! :-) Night

Signs of the Times

These 2 signs were posted near an old building which used to be an old resturant. I thought they were cool :-)

Pot Head

Last weekend my family and I went to TN. We had a lovely time. While at the Knap-In (where people get together to make and sell Indian things) a guy was making pottery. This picture is a clay pot he made. I think it's really cool. Now not only does my husband love to make arrowheads, bows and arrows, he now want's to start making pottery. Who would have thought it! :) Looks like pot is addicting after all! Ladies keep your men away from it! It's toxic!

These are the first flowers that I've ever taken a picture of! I think they turned out really well considering that I have a cheap HP digital camera! :) I really love the first one. These flowers were taken at a park in TN this weekend. The Crosseyed Cricket. My husband wanted to go to a Knap-In there so we took off! I got some really great pics of the girls!

Grunge Board

This will be the next BIG thing! Mark my words

Here are some die cut facts.

Quickutz: vellum, cardstock, fun foam, mulberry paper, tranparencies (can use as stencils), some people have reported being able to cut thinner chipboard and felt with the Revolution and the 4 x 4 dies (with foam removed), felt (I've had success cutting the simpler shapes with the foam removed in the Cuttlebug and Sizzix machines)

Classic Sizzix: vellum, cardstock, fun foam, mulberry paper, leather, denim, fabric, metal, chipboard, felt, plastic, faux fur, foil, heat and shrink plastic, paper wood, Self-adhesive rubber (for making rubber stamps), sheet magnet, sponge, static cling vinyl, transparencies

Sizzlits: metal, cardstock, vellum, specialty paper, felt, fun foam, fabric, chipboard

Cuttlebug: cardstock, vellum, specialty papers, chipboard, transparencies, cloth

Bosskutz: Vellum, cardstock,

Big Shot Thick Cuts* dies: card stock, lightweight chipboard, coaster material, felt, fabric, stencil plastic, polyshrink, acetate/transparency, thin sheet metal, leather, etc.

Big Shot Thin Cuts (wafer style, just like the Sizzlit; card stock max)

Big Shot Cut n' Emboss (wafer style, cut and emboss; card stock max)

Wizard: Spellbinders Cutting, Embossing and Stenciling dies - cardstock, vellum, light weight chipboard, soda cans, thin balsa wood, material backed with fusing, thin leather, fun foam, air dry clay, etch art board, shrink plastic, sheet magnet, felt, hvac tape, styrofoam and craft foil

Klic N Kut: comes in sizes that can cut 8.5, 13 or 15". All of them have 500g of pressure. There is an embossing tool, a pen tool and two blades (one for paper, one for chipboard). Can cut paper, cardstock, vinyl, chipboard, fabric, leather.

Sewing Felt

I found this cool tutorial online today! I don't sew very often with my sewing machine b.c it's so big and a pain to drag out and put up. This is a very neat tutorial to hopefully help me out with that! Felt is becoming a Hot Trend in Scrapbooking lately. I really love the look of it and wished I could use it more often. Hopefully you'll like this as much I did! ENJOY!

Have ya heard?
I just learned of this recently and I think it's so much fun. Wished I lived in town or I would do this! :)

The air is cool the season fall
Soon Halloween will come to all
The spooks are after things to do
In fact, a spook brought this to you
“BOO” is a shield from witching hour
Just hang it up and watch its power
On your front door is where it works
It wards off spooks and scary jerks
The treats that came with crypted note
Are yours to keep, enjoy them both
The power comes when friends like you
Will copy this and make it TWO
Then others here among our friends
Will give warm fuzzies that do not end
We’ll all have smiles upon our faces
No one will know who “BOO”ed whose places
Just one short day to work your spell
Or a big ZAP will strike your tail
And don’t forget a nifty treat,
Like something cute or something sweet
Please join fun, let’s really hear it
And spread some “BOO”s and Halloween spirit.

Here's what you do:

1. Place BOO in your window for neighbors to see (after receving a BOO).

2. Pass two "scare" packages on to your neighbors who haven't been "BOO"ed yet including poem and BOO pictures.

3. Watch to see the fun spread around the neighborhood.

Photo Shoot

Here are a few of the pictures taken at the photo shoot in my living room. These pictures are going to be in a magazine article about the Sunshine Albums. I am soo pleased with how they turned out. My friend can take amazing pictures and should be a professional. She is a professional in my eyes.

If you are making Sunshine Albums the due date to send them in is approaching quickly. I wished I knew the number of albums world wide that has been made. It's for such an amazing cause. What what a better way to use a hobby that you love to touch a little life with a ray of Sunshine! :)

Halloween Treat Can

Here is the Halloween Treat Can that I finally finished. I bought the paper from Micheals Craft Store. It was super easy, fast and fun to make. I'm sure I'll be making the girls one for Easter too! I added green ribbon to the can after I took this picture. It really brought out the colors on the can.

Happy Halloween!

New Goodies! YAH!

Took alittle shopping trip to Michaels and Target last weekend. MMM Love those stores! Wished I lived closer!

I found some really cheap and neat Halloween goodies! I bought 2 paint like tin cans/with lids for my daughters also. I am going to make them a treat can for Halloween. I've already finished one. I wished they had a better variety of Halloween papers though. So their cans will probably look the same but with their names on it.

I think I spent a total of $13.00 on these items. Gotta love those dollar bins! :) O I almost forgot I bought a circle punch half off with coupon! Now I want some flower punches. Or a cricut!

  1. I'm going to decorate one of the calendars for a Christmas gift for my MIL. She will love it. I'll fill it with pics of her grandkids.
