A couple of cool things...

Check out this awesome new blog created by Ericka, aka journeyfan. She created this blog, so we as scrappers, can have a place to post, encourage and be encouraged by others. So go check it out. It's kind of cool.

I totally blew my diet this weekend. How could I resist all of that yummy candy and sweet treats? I couldn't! I've gotta get back to walking. I was doing so good. Then the weather turned cooler and I got lazy. BUT....I'm jumping back on the train tomorrow! Wish me luck!

Other news.... Nicole has created a blog for her Flat Traveling Scrapper. It's going to be fun to see where all she travels. Very cute idea.

Have a great week everyone!!

Happy Easter!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter! I love Spring! Everything is so beautiful and the weather is nice! We had a great day! Kicked off the day with a big breakfast at church. After that we had the worship service. Then we went to my mother in law's for lunch and another big egg hunt. The kids had a blast.

My little cousin had this shirt on today. Isn't it the cutest?

Happy St. Patricks Day!

FAT ATTACK!! LOL I ordered these last week from one of the students. It was a nice suprise when they came today. Talk about FAT ATTACK! I ate 4! ekkk...LOL Not at the same time of course. But they were sooo goooood. Even though it blew my diet for the day! ;) It was for a good cause right?!?
Check out these awesome heart mini albums that my dear friend Brenda sent me today. One is for my daughter and the other one is for her best friend. She was born with some health problems and has been in and out of the hospital. She has had many, many surgeries. She is need of a kidney transplant right now but they can't do that until her bladder gets better. Thank you Bren- They are lovely! What a sweet sweet thing to do!
Brenda also sent me these beautiful ribbons! They remind me of Spring! My favorite season! I can't wait to use them.
I scrapped one layout last weekend. I really had no idea what I was going to make until I pulled out the papers. It just kind of came as I worked. This layout is special b.c its of my mother. She suddenly passed away on Mother's day almost 2 years ago. I never realized loosing her would hurt so bad. I actually sewed this using the machine she bought me years ago. She would be proud that I was actually using it. smile. When I was pregnant with my first daughter she made all of my materinty clothes. I loaned them out not knowing they wouldn't return. She was a crafty lady. She could sew ANYTHING! Boy, I wished I could give her a great big hug!

Happy St. Patties Day! Did you wear green today? I almost forgot! :) dancing happy st. patricks day (This was supposed to be at the top) LOL I would take the time to change it but it took too long for the pictures to upload and now it's bed time! :)
Take Care!

Great Song!

I love this song by Trace Adkins. I'm going to do a LO using this song soon. It made me cry the first time I heard it. Time flies by so fast doesn't it? I was the same way growing up! I got married at 16. I wasn't interested in going to college. Now I wished I had but that's life. I was so eager to start and have a family. I am so thankful for what God has given me. I enjoy everyday of my life! Now go hug your family!

God Bless!

Easter is on the way!

I can't believe that the time changes THIS weekend. Boy is time flying by or what? Tomorrow night is our monthy youth group meeting. I made these for a treat for the kids. It was so easy and fast to make really. It's hard to believe that Easter is in March this.

All you have to do is whip up a batch of

Rice Krispies Treats. I added green food coloring to these.

Grease a cupcake pan with butter or not stick spray.

Press the Rice Krispy Treats's into the cupcake pan and shape it into a nest by pressing out the middle part.

Add a little peep (yellow chic), add a few jelly beans and gummy worms.

I also added 2 chocolate bunnies. (I'm sure the kids will fight over these).

Craft Night LO

I had a hard time focusing at the crop the other night. I couldnt STOP talking....LOL I started this LO and almost didnt finish it. Pink is my FAVORITE color. I have to stop myself from always using it. IS that bad? I guess its a good thing I dont have boys huh?

Craft Night

I actually got a little bit accomplished at the crop we had at church Friday night. I made two cards and LO. But most of all I had a blast chatting with all the ladies! We had 5 scrapping and two more chatting. I was VERY pleased how it turned out! We want to start doing this once a month. From now on, to get more ladies involved, I am going to call it a "Craft Night." I'm encouraging the ladies of the church to bring whatever they want to work on. Not everyone loves to scrapbook. We have many that cross stitch, do bead work and other crafty things. I think it will be a great way to get more ladies involved. I love any kind of craft and who knows, I'll probably learn something too. ;) Matter of fact, I know I'll learn something! laugh.

My dream is to make this a big outreach event in our community. Maybe even run an ad in the local newspaper. We have the perfect facility to do it. We have lots of those big long tables and chairs. Great lighting. Great location. Who knows where this might lead.

Baby Card

Here's the card I sent my lovely Sister in Law. I messed up and got ink on the corner so I just covered it with flowers. Gotta love those mistakes. ;)
BTW the "B" stands for baby not boy. They are going to wait and find out what it's going to be. We did that with our second child and its harder to do than you think. But it was fun! The hardest part for me was buying the clothes before hand. I got many pretty dresses and things with my first daughter and that was nice. So I guess there are pro's and con's to everything. :)
